Hillsdale is a residential area in south Regina that is bounded by Wascana Park and Wascana Lake, the University of Regina, the wonderful folks in Whitmore Park and by Albert Street South.
Hillsdale began as a subdivision in the later 1950’s, so there are plenty of trees and greenery. Birds and birdsong are highlights of Hillsdale living.
Hillsdale is ideally situated in that it is just ten minutes from downtown Regina and only minutes from east and north Regina via the Ring Road.
Landmarks in Hillsdale include the Conexus Arts Centre, Roberts Tower and the University of Regina campus. The Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) is close by.
Marion McVeety is an elementary school located in Hillsdale. A Catholic elementary school (St. Matthews), French Immersion school (Massey), French language school (Laval) and Christian school (Regina Christian) are close by, too.
Many programs and services are offered by the Hillsdale Community Association to Hillsdale and other city residents. These programs include the Young at Art Drawing Program, Running Class, Learn to Run Program, and more. Hillsdale is part of the South Zone, which includes the areas of Whitmore Park, Albert Park and Lakeview - all part of the City of Regina.
